Jim Hoogerhyde set a new land speed record in California, piloting a solar-powered electric production motorcycle, reaching 189.086 miles per hour in 1.3 miles at El Mirage. Northern California road racing returns to Sonoma county the last weekend of April. Several SFMC members will be on track along with some of the fastest road racers on the west coast. Infineon Raceway, also known as Sears Point, is a short distance away at the southern most part of Sonoma county.
